Produce: Meal boxes using extraordinary ingredients from our amazing small scale suppliers.
Founded by Jenny and family in 2020, Real Food Hub is a marketplace, created for people who love Real Good Food from farmers markets AND enjoy the convenience of online ordering.
Jenny has worked in food and farming pretty much her whole life studying Environmental Economics, managing farmers markets and veg box schemes, and a co-operative of farmers selling their livestock to supermarket processors. Jenny says, "In our lifetime we have seen population growth and intensive farming, a pressure to produce more food quickly and cheaply. A system that creates food that is not as good nutritionally for us to consume, hence an increase in diet related illnesses. This system doesn't seem like the best thing to do long term.
On our website we have brought together thousands of Real Food products from hundreds of ethical producers, so there is no more endless searching for quality. Our passionate, independent real food makers care about taste, nutrition and nature as much as we do."
Recently we have developed meal boxes using extraordinary ingredients from our amazing small scale suppliers.
Our 3 core principles. More Taste, More Nutritious, More Ethical.
MORE TASTE
We believe that Real Food which has been grown or raised as nature intended, heritage breed livestock, diverse regional cheeses, organic veg simply tastes better. Natural foods for real food diets do taste seriously good compared to what is available in most supermarkets.
MORE NUTRITIOUS
Natural foods support the immune system, promote gut health, are easy to digest, contain vitamins, minerals and fatty acids that protect us against modern illnesses.
MORE ETHICAL
We believe in a food production system that supports nature and a healthy ecosystem, whether producing fruit, veg, meat, dairy, beer, wine, spirits, cheese, chocolate, whole food ingredients, or fishing our oceans. We don't like intensive farming it is not good for animals, for our health or for the planet.
