Herdwick Hogget Loin Boned and Rolled
This is the prime cut of the Herdwick Hogget, tender yet full of flavour. This wonderful cut of Herdwick loin is take off the bone for easy carving. It can be roasted and served pink, the sweet soft meat is tender and delicious.
Herdwick sheep are Lakelands’ native sheep breed, they eat a natural diet of fell grasses and heather. ‘Hogget’ is sheep meat from an animal between 1-2 years old and is a delicious cross between tender lamb and full flavoured mutton.
This Herdwick Hogget is dry aged for 7 days to enhance the texture and flavour.
