Our Weekly Market Belted Galloway Beef is farmed by Jon Watson at Yew Tree Farm, Cumbria. Supplying many michellin starred restaurants including Simon Rogan's L'Enclume, who comments "this beef is a real find for my restaurants…. amazing flavours that just can't be beaten."
Jon says, "The Belted Galloways eat not only all the different types of grasses on the Lakeland fells, but also berries, moss and heather that grow wild, and which many cattle and sheep will not touch. Eating such a varied natural diet and growing so slowly and naturally, is why the resulting meat has superb depth of flavour and many nutrients."
