Oven Ready Whole Wild Hare from the Lakeland moors. Hare has a deep, gamey taste and is more flavoursome than rabbit, suited to slow cooking in a casserole or stew.
At times supplied fresh in season although usually supplied frozen as our gamekeepers will only shoot hare when in plentiful supply. The hare are exceptional quality.
Weights vary 1.3-1.9kg.
Our Weekly Market Wild Game is from Cartmel Valley Game & Smokehouse, a family run business established in 1994 by Jonathan & Susan Stott who still run it along with their daughter Georgina.
