Set in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, Life of Spice was founded by Trevor in 2014 with the aim of making great tasting food which is easy and simple to produce.
Originally, Trevor began working life in the IT sector and after 20 years of programming, he came to the conclusion that computers were no longer on his wave length and decided to spice up his life by following his true passion within the food industry.
It’s fair to say that he has hit the ground running, after winning three awards on his first attempt in the 2015 Great Taste Awards. The creatively named Fifty Shades of Grey (rub), Much Adobo About Nothing (rub) and Tequila Sunrise (salt) all picked up gold stars.
He strives to make all his products as attractive as possible to the user, so uses premium quality aluminium tins which will not only feel right at home on the kitchen counter but also protect the contents from direct sunlight which is often the cause of most damage for herbs and spices.
Being close at hand on the counter will also make them more accessible and much easier for the household chef to remember to use them.
Trevor produces in small batches using the freshest dried herbs and spices, which are all sourced from a small and reliable group of suppliers. The Barbecue rubs contain no artificial ingredients, and are all gluten free and dairy free.
