Morecambe Bay Brown Shrimps are renowned for their delicate taste and unique texture; they have been caught by local Fishermen for hundreds of years, to create the famous Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps.
A family business Furnedd Fish & Gane was started by the owner Les Salisbury in 1984, he fished for shrimps as a lad, going out on the horse and cart.
While the fishing methods may have changed, with the horse and cart being replaced by the tractor, we still follow the same traditional recipe.
Locally caught shrimps are boiled in butter with a secret combination of spices until they are tender. They are then sealed with butter and packed into pots. Several companies make Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps, but ours are the original and have even been served to the Royal Family!

What makes Furness Fish & Game so Special: Founded by Les Salisbury in 1984, Furness Fish & Game were originally famous for supplying the Royal family with Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps. Les would fish for shrimps as a boy, and turned his love of fishing into a thriving business which is today run by his niece Clare Worral.
