This Seasonal Surprise Meat Hamper is designed for the adventurous chef.

The Hamper contains a selection of wonderful cuts from thier Gold range of products, it may include Herdwick Lamb/Hogget and/or Belted Galloway Beef and/or wild lakeland game. All the meat comes from Yew Tree Farm and is fresh - not frozen. Although the contents are a surprise, please feel free to request your size of cuts (use the additional information area at checkout).

Sometimes the hamper will also include a selection of seasonal herbs or condiments to complement the suggested recipes.

This Heritage Breed Meat Box is from Jon Watson's Pedigree Herds of Belted Galloway Cattle and Herdwick Sheep. 

Belted Galloway and Herdwick Breeds are traditional native beef breeds that have become "rare breeds" since the introduction of supermarkets. These breeds of cattle and sheep grow more slowly but thrive on fell plants, grasses and heather on the Lakeland fells. Whilst they take longer to mature, the resulting taste of the beef and hogget they produce is really delicious. Grass Fed Beef has been shown to contain higher levels of beneficial omega 3 and other unsaturated fats and lower levels of saturated fat than grain fed beef. As Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall said of Heritage Meats Hogget 'Their Herdwick Hogget is among the finest I have tasted’.
