TEA:

A black tea blend sourced from three tea-growing regions. Bright Kenyan tea from the slopes east of the Great Rift Valley is balanced with malty Indian second-flush Assam tea and aromatic Sri Lankan tea from Dimbula.

The result is a full-bodied cup with a clean finish. Ideal for any time of day.

TEA BAGS:
No conventional plastic. Our tea bags are not made with nylon, PET or polypropylene.

They are made with plant fibres, including abaca and cellulose, plus PLA, a plant-based compostable material used to help seal the bag. The tea bag material is biodegradable.

MAKE IT THE MAZAWATTEE WAY:
1. Start with fresh, cold water. Freshly drawn water helps deliver a brighter-tasting cup.
2. Bring to the boil. Black tea infuses best with water just off the boil to bring out its depth.
3. Warm your cup. Swirl with a little boiling water, then discard it to maintain temperature for an even infusion.
4. Add one tea bag per cup. One bag per cup gives a balanced infusion.
5. Pour over the tea bag. This saturates the leaves quickly for an even and well-rounded infusion.
6. Cover the cup. Rest a saucer on top to retain heat and keep the aroma in the cup.
7. Infuse. Allow 3 minutes for a lighter cup or up to 5 minutes for a full-bodied cup.
8. Remove the bag. Do not leave it in or squeeze it as this can make the tea taste bitter.Enjoy it yourway.
9. Drink it black for a brisk taste, add milk for a softer finish or a slice of lemon for a sharper lift.
