Springfield's Free Range Geese are reared outdoors in a natural environment and given a natural diet. They are grown slowly to full maturity, creating fat marbling throughout the meat for added flavour and rich texture.

Supplied dry plucked with giblets.

Orders containing Christmas items will be scheduled for delivery from 18th December, because of this, please place any items you wish to receive at an earlier date in a separate order.

Please note the Christmas Geese are supplied frozen. This is because Springfield have so many turkeys to prepare in December in such as short space of time. In November, the Geese are dry plucked and waxed to remove all the feather and down leaving a beautiful clean finish. The geese are hung long leg for 10 days to mature allowing the fat to set really hard and the meat to relax giving incredible taste and texture. After the hanging the geese are dressed ready for the oven, the giblets and fat are saved and vacuum packed and placed back in the goose, it is hung in the fridge overnight and then immediately bagged and frozen. By following this process there is no loss of quality, taste or texture.
