In 1915, Thomas Campbell opened his own butchers at 60 Queen Street in Edinburgh. Over 100 years on, Campbells is thriving, selling a wide variety of meat & fish to customers all across the UK.
Campbells are a family run business who have been going for over 100 years. The business has been passed down from generation to generation, with each one following the three principles that Thomas Campbell set out when he founded the business in 1915: top quality meat, consistency and customer service.
In 1994, Campbells introduced their quality mark, 'Campbells Gold'. This was approved by the SFQC (Scottish Food Quality Certification) to guarantee its customers Scotch, dry aged beef.
The meat used for Campbells Gold is carefully selected, then hung for 21-28 days in their very own chill, and fish is sourced from markets at Scrabster and Peterhead. This means that customers of Campbells are guaranteed top quality, fresh produce, which is delivered straight to your door.
