The Taste of Lincolnshire Gift Pack is one of The Cheese Society's best-sellers and a pick of some of the best cheeses from the County, this is a popular choice with a range of firm-textured cheeses including LINCOLNSHIRE POACHER, a soft blue COTE HILL BLUE, and a smoked cheese SMOKED LINCOLNSHIRE POACHER.

The delivery arrives complete with a locally made MODENS PLUM BREAD, a soft fruit loaf that works beautifully with the cheeses in this delivery. Spread the plum bread liberally with butter and top with your Lincolnshire cheese of choice. Delicious with a cup of tea! A delightful delivery and a great taster of the spectacular cheeses from one of England’s largest rural counties!

The Cheese Soceity are very proud of their local produce and feel this delivery shows some of the best wares Lincolnshire has to offer. We are incredibly lucky to have two exceptional, award-winning cheesemakers located so close by in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Please note each cheese is cut to 200g by hand, therefore the weights listed are approximate. We work very hard to cut them as accurately as they can!

Pack includes

Lincolnshire Poacher
Weight: approx 200g.

Lincolnshire Poacher is a hard, mature cheese that is somewhere between a cheddar and a Swiss mountain cheese. This award-winning Supreme Champion cheese is a hard pressed, full-fat cheese - cheddar in style, but slightly open in texture. Rich herbaceous notes linger on the palate. Delicious with a buttered slice of Lincolnshire PLUM BREAD.

Pairing Suggestion - HAWKSHEAD CHILLI JAM

Cote Hill Blue
Weight: approx 200g.

A superb unpasteurised blue cheese made in Lincolnshire, similar in style to a soft textured blue brie, creamy with a definite sharpness and rich, complex flavours. The cheese is incased in a thin grey rind.

Pairing Suggestion - BAKED FIG BALL

A whole Cote Hill Blue weighs approx. 1.2kg

Lincolnshire Poacher Smoked
Weight: approx 200g.

Traditional Lincolnshire Poacher cheese is smoked at a local smokehouse over untreated oak chips. The cheese spends 24 hours in the smokehouse which gives it a rich smokey flavour that compliments the cheese. The resulting cheeses are smooth, silky textured and lightly smoked with a rounded flavour.

Pairing Suggestion - HAWKSHEAD CHILLI JAM

A wedge weighs approx 1kg

Weight: approx 200g.

Lindum is a washed rind, cows milk cheese from the Cote Hill Dairy in Lincolnshire. Regular washing in the 'Bomber County Beer' gives the cheese its natural pink rind, which develops a pungency as it is allowed to mature, this in turn gives extra flavour to the cheese.

A whole Lindum weighs approx. 1.6kg

 Lincolnshire Red
Weight: approx 200g.

Lincolnshire Red cheese is loosely based on an old fashioned traditional Red Leicester recipe, from the makers of LINCOLNSHIRE POACHER. It has a clean, delicate nutty flavour.

Each wedge weighs approx 2kg

Lincolnshire Plum Bread
Weight: approx 400g.

Traditional Lincolnshire Plumbread from Modens Bakery. Fruity, spicy and moist and delicious served with Lincolnshire Poacher or Cote Hill Blue cheese.

Pairing Suggestion - STRONG CHEDDARS

Weighs approx 400g
