Blue Monk, soft blue cheese is hand-made at the local Monkland Dairy from raw, unpasteurised milk. The small artisan cheeses are pierced twice and turned as they mature for around 28 days. The Blue Monk cheese are then wrapped and continue to mature becoming creamier and softer with age. Each cheese weighs approximately 275g and looks great on a cheeseboard or on top of a wedding stack! With a lovely developed blue flavour, it's gorgeous and tasty, but not too strong.
Blue Monk dimensions: 9cm diameter x 6 cm high although they can vary in height a bit!
